About Mr. John Fellens
I was born and raised in Phoenix. I graduated from Deer Valley High School back in 1987, and received my BA in history-education from Northern Arizona University in 1993. I started teaching Social Studies at Deer Valley in 1993-94. I also taught online World History classes for our Deer Valley Online Learning Program for ten years.
I coached football, basketball and baseball at DV over a fifteen year period of time before stepping away to spend more time with my family. In the Spring of 2023, I came back to coaching as an assistant coach for DV's varsity baseball team. Me and my wife, Katie, have three beautiful kids, our son Jackson (current Skyhawk Class of '25) and our daughters Emee (former Skyhawk Class of '22) and Charlie (future Skyhawk??? Class of '35).
