About Mrs. Carolyn Ulrich

I am a Phoenix native, my parents moved here from Illinois. I attended several different DVUSD schools from kindergarten all the way up through high school.  I graduated from DVHS in 1993.  My freshman year of college was at NAU, but I transferred down to ASU my sophomore year.  I graduated from ASU with my Bachelors of Arts in Education in 1997.  I spent a semester teaching outside of DVUSD, but then joined the district family in the Fall of 1998.  I spent 7 years at another high school in the district.  While there, I met my husband.  We were married in March 2002.  Our first son, Dylan, was born in August of 2003.  I completed my Masters in Educational Leadership from NAU in December 2004.  I became an assistant principal at Deer Valley Middle School for 2 years. My youngest son, Gibson, was born in June of 2006.  I continued as an assistant principal at West Wing for a year.  With 2 little ones at home, I chose to return to teaching and re-joined the Skyhawk Family in the Fall of 2008.
