About Ms. Katie Wiggans

I was born in Phoenix, and I grew up in the Peoria School District. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University in 2006, and started teaching at Deer Valley the same year. I enjoy teaching, and I believe that every child has the ability to learn and to accomplish their dreams.

My teaching philosophy is cemented in the belief that one must teach the whole child. Students can only achieve academic success when they feel respected, safe, happy, and loved.
