I’ve been a Skyhawk for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Deer Valley High School back in 2022. I then went on to receive my BA in Secondary Education at Arizona Christian University where I also played beach volleyball, and finished as an All-American my senior year. 

Before all of this, I pretty much grew up on this campus. My Dad, Mr. Fellens, has been teaching here since 1993, and not only that, but my grandparents taught PE and Health for 30+ years here too. It is very full circle for me to return to this campus as both a teacher and coach after having my own experience being a Skyhawk student-athlete.

I completed my student teaching here, at Deer Valley, under department chair Alison McGowan in 2025 where I taught ELA 5/6 and 7/8. I currently coach the freshman girls indoor volleyball team, while I assist with JV and Varsity. Now, I teach both Math and Reading Interventions for 9th graders.

Some extra fun facts about me is that I have 4 dogs that I am absolutely obsessed with! I have a small white dog (mutt - no idea what type of dog she is), a Golden-doodle, a Berne-doodle, and an English Bulldog. My brother also graduated from Deer Valley back in 2025, and I have a little sister who is still in elementary school!
